Job SummaryWe are seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our team at Forvis Mazars. As a Tax Senior Associate, you will provide tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to pass-through and C-corporation entities with an emphasis on companies operating in the manufacturing and distribution, construction and real estate, professional services and technology, and financial institutions industries.
Key Responsibilities- Provide tax compliance, tax provision, and tax advisory services to clients in various industries.
- Assist in supervising, developing, and coaching professional tax staff.
- Help develop and manage client relationships.
- Provide timely and unmatched client service and exceed client expectations.
- Represent Forvis Mazars in the marketplace at networking events.
- Participate in the proposal process for potential new clients.
- Participate in campus recruiting initiatives and programs.
- Contribute to Forvis Mazars-sponsored technical guidance for internal and external publications and to internal learning and development sessions.
- Work with your team to assign projects and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Relevant progressive experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and experience in public accounting.
- A strong sense of ownership for delivering high-quality service to clients and experience servicing multiple client engagements.
- Excellent supervisory, team-building, and time-management skills.
- Ability to work well with a team as well as independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A solution-finding attitude.
- Willingness to take initiative.
- Precise attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and against target dates.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant progressive tax experience in public accounting or a combination of corporate tax and public accounting experience.
- CPA license or have secured the educational requirements to satisfy the 150-credit hour requirement necessary to obtain a CPA license.
