Key Responsibilities- Conduct field observations at construction sites to ensure compliance with project specifications and regulations.
- Collect and test samples of construction materials, including soil, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel.
- Prepare accurate and detailed daily logs of inspections and test results.
- Communicate effectively with project managers and operations staff to ensure project progress and address any issues that may arise.
- Reliable vehicle for field work and a valid driver's license.
- Ability to lift and move up to 60-80 pounds of equipment and materials.
- Ability to work in various outdoor climates and terrain.
- Attention to detail and quality, with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of MS Office programs and ability to use company-provided tablets.
- Ability to perform basic math and use measurement tools.
- With training, ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, safety rules, and operating instructions.
- Experience as a construction materials testing technician or related field.
- Verifiable certifications such as ACI, ICC, NICET, NJ DCA, etc.
