Propulsion Systems Engineer

About the Role:We are seeking a highly skilled Propulsion Engineer to join our team. As a Propulsion Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing propulsion systems for our spacecraft and rockets. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to ensure that our propulsion systems meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop propulsion systems for our spacecraft and rockets, including turbopumps, injectors, and other critical components.
- Collaborate with our manufacturing team to ensure that our propulsion systems are produced to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
- Test and validate our propulsion systems to ensure that they meet our performance and safety requirements.
- Work with our design team to develop new and innovative propulsion systems that meet the needs of our spacecraft and rockets.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to our teams to ensure that our propulsion systems are designed and developed to meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability.
- Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering.
- 1+ years of experience in propulsion engineering, including design, development, and testing of propulsion systems.
- Strong knowledge of propulsion systems, including turbopumps, injectors, and other critical components.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Master's degree in an engineering discipline, such as mechanical, aerospace, or materials engineering.
- Experience with aerospace welding systems, non-destructive testing, and metallurgical evaluation.
- Knowledge of CAD and DWG software, including NX and Teamcenter.
- Experience with production tooling design and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
