Hydrogeology Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Geoscientist to join our team at SRK Consulting. As a Hydrogeology Specialist, you will be responsible for constructing numerical hydrological models, providing leadership and advice to clients, and advising on mine dewatering and water supply projects.
Key Responsibilities- Construct and calibrate numerical hydrogeological models to simulate groundwater flow and contaminant transport
- Provide expert advice to clients on mine dewatering, water supply, and hydrologic impacts of mining
- Use groundwater modeling software such as FEFLOW and MODFLOW to analyze and predict groundwater behavior
- Develop and maintain client relationships in worldwide projects
- Work in a team environment to deliver high-quality results
- Travel to provide support to field programs as needed
- Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, hydrogeology, environmental studies, or a related earth science field
- 5-10 years of experience in professional consulting, including numerical hydrogeological modeling and mine dewatering
- Expert applicability in groundwater modeling software MODFLOW and FEFLOW
- Basic programming skills, with proficiency in Python
- Ability to manage and process large datasets
- Proficiency in MS Office suite and GIS software (ArcPRO or QGIS)
- Knowledge of inverse modeling, stochastic modeling, and the PEST suite
- Experience with contaminant transport modeling is preferred
$80,000-$120,000 USD per annum
