Lead Aviation Architecture/Engineering at AECOM

AECOM is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal, Aviation Architecture/Engineering to join our Buildings + Places leadership team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the growth of professional design services related to Aviation projects in the Southeast, based out of our Tampa or Orlando offices.

  • Building a strong and thriving culture in the Aviation practice that promotes equity, diversity, and inclusion, while preserving technical excellence in our core competency.
  • Ensuring unflinching customer focus and demonstrating deep customer insight to drive client satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership team in the US East Team on driving strategic growth initiatives throughout the region in the Aviation practice.
  • Developing and owning the long-term vision for sustained growth of AECOM's Aviation business in the East.
  • Overseeing the capture process for key pursuits in Aviation to ensure best practices are being adhered to.
  • Evaluating Aviation opportunities and determining which to pursue based on client understanding, pre-positioning, alignment with overall growth strategy, and AECOM strategic position.
  • Overseeing the client account management program for key clients in Aviation to ensure active management.
  • Collaborating with local leadership across the East and organizing civic engagement activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Architecture + 10 years of experience in aviation projects or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience in the aviation sector.
  • Experience in leading growth through sales, business development, and successful delivery of signature projects.
  • Proven ability to successfully develop strong client relationships and win work.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects of a complex scope.
