Job Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) at American Family Care provides high-quality patient care within the scope of their training and approved agreement. They work collaboratively with other providers and staff to ensure efficient patient flow and a high level of patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, and develop comprehensive medical assessments.
  • Order laboratory, radiological, and diagnostic studies appropriate for the patient's complaint, race, sex, and physical condition.
  • Formulate medical and nursing diagnoses and institute therapy or referrals to appropriate healthcare facilities, agencies, and resources.
  • Provide instructions and guidance regarding healthcare and health promotion to patients, families, and significant others.

Qualifications:

  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • ANCC, AANP, or NCCPA Board Certified.
  • Active and current Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.

Compensation: $85.00 per hour.
