About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Polysomnographic Specialist to join our Sleep Lab team at Children's National Medical Center. The successful candidate will have a strong background in polysomnography, sleep disorders, and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct polysomnography and other sleep studies to diagnose and treat sleep disorders.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients.
- Provide patient education and counseling on sleep health and treatment options.
- Maintain accurate records of patient data and test results.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of sleep disorders and their treatment options.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Polysomnographic Technologist License/Registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist in the District of Columbia required.
- Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists as a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or American Board of Sleep Medicine as a Registered Sleep Technologist (RST) required.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Provider (BLS) certification required.
- Intermediate level of computer skills required.
Salary and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $33.05-$65.55 per hour, or $60,632-$119,059.20 per year, based on experience and qualifications. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
