About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Process Planner II to join our team at Dow Aero, LLC. This individual will play a crucial role in developing documentation that outlines the sequence of aerospace manufacturing activities, ensuring efficient production processes.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of manufacturing technologies, special processes, and aviation specifications. They will work closely with Engineering, Quality, and Production personnel to develop and implement planning data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Data Review: The successful candidate will review product data to determine raw material requirements, hardware needs, and scope of work necessary for production.
  • Manufacturing Planning: Develop comprehensive Manufacturing Process Planning documentation outlining the sequence of operations, including procurement, milling, bending, welding, painting, special processing, part marking, inspection, and post-machining operations.
  • Operational Planning: Plan the sequence of fabrication, assembly, installation, and other manufacturing operations for guidance of production workers.
  • Material Preparation: Prepare lists of required materials, tools, and equipment necessary for production.
  • Raw Material Identification: Identify raw material requirements, including special instructions such as masking requirements, part mark locations, film thicknesses, pre-plating dimensions, and ultrasonic inspection requirements.
  • Engineering Integration: Integrate engineering changes into planning data as they become available.
  • Aviation Specifications: Demonstrate knowledge of aviation industry and government specifications, such as Mil-Specs, NAS, AISI, Boeing, and others.
  • Manufacturing Technologies: Showcase in-depth understanding of manufacturing technologies and their applications.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A High School Diploma is required, along with 5 years or more of manufacturing and/or repair planning experience. Additionally, 5 years or more of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential. Familiarity with GD&T interpretation and 2D print interpretation is also desirable.
Working Conditions

The primary work environment will be climate-controlled, with occasional exposure to loud noises, fumes, and particles.

The physical demands of this role include lifting, pushing, and pulling objects (up to 50 pounds), reaching with arms and hands, sitting, standing, stretching, talking, using hands and fingers, viewing, and walking.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
