Job Summary:
The Senior Relationship Manager (RM) position is a key component of our Brea region team. The successful candidate will focus on deposit growth products with new and existing client relationships, lower middle market prospects for deposit generation, business and consumer loans, treasury management, and international bank services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve targeted goals for the retention of existing accounts and growth of deposit balances.
- Assist the Area Manager in implementing the sales culture and function as the account manager for selected deposit relationships to ensure relationship profitability and customer service levels are maintained.
- Build strong relationships with individuals at all levels, internally and externally, utilizing excellent communication skills.
- Comply with SMBC MANUBANK compliance requirements.
- Maintain excellent relationship management skills, including cold calling, developing, and maintaining long-term relationships with customers and center of influence (COI).
- Deliver exceptional presentation and communication skills, translating prospect or client needs into marketable solutions.
- Work independently, demonstrating self-motivation, knowledge of contact tracking systems, and excellent time management skills.
- Manage sales processes, including proposals and implementation.
- Travel extensively, attending conferences, meeting with prospective clients, and representing the company at networking events.
- Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in planning and attending large conference events, managing conference vendor relationships, and reviewing court orders and legal documents.
- Community and/or industry involvement in the territory.
Position Specifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of banking sales experience.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a Business Banking Relationship Management role.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in deposit acquisition.
- Proven ability to develop and manage large and complex new business relationships.
- Proficient computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Proven track record of prospecting new business and enhancing existing relationships.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage, prioritize, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
Salary Range: $126,000.00 - $155,000.00 per annum. The specific salary offered will be based on individual qualifications, experiences, and analysis of current compensation paid in the geography and market for similar roles at the time of hire.
