Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer
Position Overview

POWER Engineers is in search of an Entry-Level Substation Civil/Structural Engineer to join our Power Delivery Substation Department.
Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will engage in various facets of civil engineering design for substations, which encompasses permitting, site preparation, structural and foundation engineering, as well as assisting in the physical design and equipment arrangement of substations. Occasional travel may be necessary.
Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution
  • Proficient command of the English language with strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and clients
  • Must possess legal authorization to work permanently in the U.S. without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • Relevant coursework should include structural analysis, concrete and steel design, soil mechanics, foundation engineering, and surveying
  • Experience with structural analysis design software is advantageous
  • Prior experience in engineering design or drafting, particularly in civil or structural engineering, is preferred
  • Engineer In Training (EIT) certification or successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam

Base Salary Range: $70,000 - $75,000

This salary range is provided in compliance with applicable regulations. Salaries are determined based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that each candidate's compensation may vary. The range mentioned does not account for additional compensation such as bonuses, health benefits, vacation, or 401(k) matching.
