Key Responsibilities
  1. Financial Leadership
  • Oversee the school's financial health, including capital campaigns and financial transactions.
  • Develop and implement financial-related documentation, policies, and procedures.
  • Create and maintain a strategic, long-term financial plan.
Operational Leadership
  • Manage the business office and other areas of non-academic operations.
  • Oversee purchasing, bid procedures, inventory control, financial investments, banking activities, debt management, and payroll.
  • Manage the relationship with insurance brokers and medical insurance carriers.
Communication and Collaboration
  • Effectively communicate the school's financial position and performance to the Board, staff members, and the community.
  • Partner with the President on legal matters.
Team Management
  • Guide, inspire, and motivate team members in the business office, health clinic, food service, auxiliary services, security, and facilities.
  • Evaluate direct reports' performance and provide feedback.
Requirements
  1. Catholic Education Champion
  • Be a champion for Catholic education and eager to learn, embody, and promote the charism of the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related financial field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in finance/accounting.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • CPA, Master of Accountancy, and/or an MBA in accountancy or finance.
  • Experience in a financial leadership position and managing capital projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in non-profit and/or school accounting.
  • Working with board governance.
