Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Designing and developing large-scale distributed systems
  • Leading a team of junior engineers and mentoring them
  • Ensuring high-performance and high-reliability operation of systems
  • Developing REST APIs using Spring Boot and DropWizard
  • Working with cloud providers, preferably AWS (S3, RDS, SQS, SNS, DynamoDb, Lambda)
  • Designing and implementing container and serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda, AWS ECS)
  • Developing and maintaining automated test frameworks (Junit, Mockito, Karma or Jasmine)
  • Working with Application Lifecycle Management tools (Jira)
  • Implementing DevOps and test automation practices
  • Designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proficient Java development skills
  • Experience with Spring Boot, DropWizard, and REST API development
  • Knowledge of cloud providers, preferably AWS
  • Experience with container and serverless architectures
  • Proficient in distributed system design and implementation
  • Experience with Agile software development processes
  • Knowledge of relational databases (RDS) and NoSQL databases (DynamoDb, Cassandra)
  • Experience with Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD / DDD)
  • Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices
