About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Route Sales Representative to join our team at Deli Express. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling, ordering, delivering, merchandising, and promoting our products to customers on a designated route.

Key Responsibilities
  • Service assigned accounts on a heavy route by ordering, delivering, date coding, and merchandising products.
  • Manage displays to keep customers in stock and minimize out-of-date product.
  • Market new products and services to increase sales and shelf space within existing accounts.
  • Utilize point-of-sale materials to build and update displays.
  • Identify and solicit prospective new customers.
  • Work safely at all times and drive company route trucks safely.
  • Use handheld computers to record sales and manage inventory.
  • Complete DOT logs and other required documentation daily.
Requirements
  • Previous route sales experience is preferred.
  • Solid work history in convenience stores, sales, merchandising, or delivery may also be considered.
  • Excellent customer service and account management skills.
  • Ability to professionally communicate with external and internal customers.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass DOT physical, drug screen, motor vehicle record, and background check.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This role requires the ability to work a minimum of 9-12 hours per day, lift up to 25 pounds repetitively, and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds with assistance. You must also be able to safely operate company route trucks and work in a widely varying temperature environment.
