Parent Educator

At Lund, we are seeking a dedicated Parent Educator to join our team of professionals who are passionate about empowering families to break cycles of poverty, addiction, and abuse. As a Parent Educator, you will play a vital role in providing education, support, and resources to families, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide home visits, group connections, and resource networks to families, focusing on early childhood development and positive parenting practices.
- Develop and implement personalized plans to support families in achieving their goals, including improving parent-child interaction, development-centered parenting, and family well-being.
- Collaborate with community-based organizations to establish partnerships and ensure families receive the support they need.
- Successfully complete required training and certifications, including PAT training and certifications as mandated by the Vermont Department of Health.
- Maintain accurate client records, data screens, and assessments.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Social Work, Health, Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience working with young children and/or parents is preferred.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Valid VT Driver's License and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations respectfully.
