Lead Preschool Educator Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Lead Preschool Educator to join our team at the Greater Burlington YMCA. As a key member of our early childhood program, you will play a vital role in shaping the educational experience of our young learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers to implement high-quality early childhood programs
  • Assist in lesson planning and lead activities to promote learning and development
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children during activities
  • Help maintain a neat and organized classroom environment
  • Support swim lessons, gym lessons, and field trips
  • Communicate effectively with teachers, directors, and parents
  • Engage with families to promote a positive and supportive learning environment

Requirements:

  • Must be 20 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED and meet one of the following qualifications:
  • A Vermont Early Childhood Career Ladder Level Three (3) Certificate
  • Associate Degree with a major or concentration in Early Childhood, Child or Human Development, Elementary Education, or Child and Family Services
  • A Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program
  • A Child Care Certificate of Completion from the Community College of Vermont
  • Successful completion of twenty-one (21) college credits with an Early Childhood or School Age focus

Compensation: $25.00 per hour
