HVAC Project Mechanical Apprentice Role Overview

Johnson Controls offers a unique opportunity for individuals to develop their skills and knowledge in HVAC systems through our apprenticeship program.

Compensation Package

The estimated annual salary for this position is $65,000. The compensation package includes factory certification through the Service Technical Academy (STA), milestone recognition and monetary rewards, increased incentive opportunities for executed pull-through work, top-of-the-line technology, equipment, and uniforms, as well as a strong focus on employee safety.

Job Responsibilities

Apprentices will perform service and troubleshooting on mechanical equipment under supervision, while also receiving advanced training and certifications. Key responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting and resolving problems with pneumatic control systems and mechanical equipment
  • Responding to basic warranty calls and keeping stakeholders informed of job progress and issues
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, applicants should possess:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • Familiarity with HVAC equipment and systems
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
