Job Summary

The Care Partner is a vital member of the healthcare team at Wellstar West Georgia Medical Center. This role requires a strong support care provider who functions under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The primary focus will be to promote a positive patient experience by partnering with the nurse, physician, healthcare team, and other healthcare providers to provide excellence in patient experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide patient care under the direction of the RN, focusing on promoting a positive patient experience.
  • Assist with daily living activities and comfort measures, ensuring the patient's physical and emotional needs are met.
  • Perform basic patient care functions, such as ADLs, ambulation, and vital signs, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Participate in unit performance improvement initiatives, supporting professional nursing practice through shared leadership, evidenced-based practice, and ethical accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, physicians, family, and visitors, using safety communication techniques and documenting completion of patient care in the EMR.
Requirements
  • Rising Senior in Good Standing or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association required
  • Ability to follow detailed directions, strong interpersonal skills, clear verbal and written communication, and ability to work individually and as part of a team
