Department/Unit Summary

Our 14-bed Women's Services Unit features a Level 2B nursery with 6 beds and 8 bed L&D/Mother Baby Unit. With an average of 50 deliveries per month and a below-average C-section rate, our unit provides comprehensive care for expectant mothers and newborns. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment dedicated to promoting a positive birthing experience and ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and infants alike.

Harris Regional Hospital is an 86-bed hospital located in Sylva, NC, and is part of Lifepoint Health, a diversified healthcare delivery network committed to making communities healthier with acute care, rehabilitation, and behavioral health facilities from coast to coast.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • A valid RN license in NC or a compact state.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days and maintained.
  • AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 1 year and maintained thereafter.
  • AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter.
  • Fetal Monitoring Certification - strongly desired.
