As a Certified Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in the preparation, distribution, and documentation of pharmaceuticals, ensuring that study participants receive their supplies promptly and in accordance with established protocols. You will collaborate with Clinical Research Coordinators (CRCs) and management to ensure seamless operations at our research sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to sponsor protocols and procedural manuals during patient interactions.
  • Manage medication inventory and distribution to support clinical activities.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with inquiries and requests related to pharmaceuticals.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records, including inventory management and order verification.
  • Ensure a safe and organized pharmacy environment, following infection control standards.
  • Prepare and organize medications, including intravenous solutions, as required.
  • Document and maintain logs and reports for compliance and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor drug storage conditions and perform necessary system maintenance.
  • Communicate effectively with study investigators and document all interactions.
  • Participate in training and meetings to stay informed about industry regulations.
  • Perform all duties with a focus on safety and professionalism.
  • Represent Flourish Research with integrity in all professional interactions.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by supervisory staff.

Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in Illinois.
  • National certification from PTCB or NHA.
  • Experience in clinical research is preferred.
  • Previous work experience in a hospital or inpatient setting.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
