Location: AdventHealth Porter

Your Role:

Deliver exceptional patient care within the medical imaging department. Conduct high-quality imaging and examinations while being attentive to patient needs. Adhere to safe radiation practices and serve as a role model for fellow technologists. Act as a clinical resource for students, staff, and other healthcare personnel, ensuring adherence to current standards of practice.

Your Contributions to the Team:

  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, providing clear information and support to address their physical and emotional needs.
  • Monitor patients and equipment during procedures, documenting any unusual occurrences and recording patient conditions.
  • Ensure efficient patient flow and optimal utilization of resources and equipment.
  • Communicate effectively with physicians, imaging staff, students, and hospital personnel to facilitate comprehensive patient care.
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed, adhering to departmental policies.
  • Maintain the operational integrity of imaging equipment, reporting issues and logging service requests as per departmental procedures.
  • Engage in clinical training, offering guidance to students and staff technologists, and supporting hospital policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Registered Technologist, Radiology - R.T. (R) (ARRT); Bone Density certification preferred within six months of hire, if applicable.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree (strongly preferred)
  • Bachelor's degree
