Job Summary: Experienced Welder Position at Morgan Truck Body Careers

This is an exciting opportunity for skilled welders to join our team at Morgan Truck Body Careers. As an Experienced Welder, you will be responsible for operating various welding equipment, primarily working with aluminum, steel, and galvanneal materials.

• Assemble and install components such as wiring trucks from front to rear lights, camera sensors, and custom requests
• Perform welding operations according to customer or employer requirements
• Install lift gates, walk ramps, and platforms
• Maintain high safety standards while working
• Operate heavy equipment such as industrial saws
• Inspect equipment after welding and notify maintenance of any defects
• Plan and set up welding operations before commencing work
• Read blueprints and weld according to plan

• Candidates must be able to pass a weld test
• Proficient in three or more welding materials: mild steel, galvineel, carbon steel, aluminum, stainless steel
• A minimum of 6 years of welding experience
• Basic math, tape measurement, and computer skills
• Familiarity with hand tools
• Able to understand and comprehend measurements
• Able to read and interpret blueprints for special applications

• Previous experience in manufacturing
• Previous experience working on truck bodies
• High school diploma or equivalent GED

• The job operates in a manufacturing plant environment
• Frequent standing, walking, talking, and hearing
• Occasional sitting, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching overhead, and crawling in confined spaces

$23.00 - $27.83 per hour depending on experience
