Detox Technician

At All American Detox Center, we are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Detox Technician to join our team. As a key member of our residential treatment program, you will play a vital role in supporting our residents in their journey towards recovery.

• Assist in the admission process and provide orientation to new residents
• Monitor and intervene in resident behavior as needed
• Conduct urinalysis (UA) drug screen collections and supervise self-administration of resident medications
• Document observations and interventions in resident records and shift logs
• Coordinate residents' treatment with counseling staff and facilitate daily activities in a residential component
• Transport residents to appointments, meetings, and other activities as needed
• Ensure resident telephones are available during designated hours and conduct regular house checks to ensure safety and security
• Complete new residents' admission/intake paperwork and conduct orientations, including person and baggage searches
• Provide one-on-one supervision of at-risk residents and complete filing and other miscellaneous administrative work as assigned

• High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
• Minimum of one year training/experience in addiction or related behavioral health field
• Ability to cooperate with team members and work in a collaborative team setting
• Effective communication skills and ability to assess residents and interpret information related to chemical dependency
• Current CPR and First Aid training and valid unrestricted state driver's license
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
