Detoxification Specialist

Orange County Detox is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Detox Technician to join our team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in the recovery journey of our participants, providing attentive supervision, monitoring their progress, and advocating for their well-being.

1. Supervise participants requiring detoxification and residential services, ensuring their safety and well-being.
2. Monitor participants for withdrawal symptoms, adverse reactions to medications, and any other medical concerns.
3. Maintain accurate and thorough records of participant observations, progress, and incidents.
4. Act as a dedicated recovery advocate, supporting, inspiring, and empowering participants on their journey to sobriety.
5. Assist with participant transportation to appointments, meetings, and activities related to their recovery.
6. Connect participants with valuable community resources to enhance their recovery process.
7. Manage and oversee drug and alcohol testing to ensure compliance with program requirements and participant accountability.

• Registration with respected organizations like CCAPP or ACCBC, demonstrating your commitment to ethical standards and professional development in addiction counseling.
• A solid understanding of recovery concepts, withdrawal symptoms, and the stages of addiction recovery.
• Prior experience in addiction counseling, residential treatment, or related fields will be highly beneficial.
• Familiarity with basic medical practices, including medication understanding, side effects, and adverse reactions.
• Up-to-date certifications in CPR and First Aid to respond effectively to emergencies.
• T.B. Clearance and Health Screening Clearances to ensure your fitness for the role and the safety of our participants.
