Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Per Diem

Penn State Health is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our team on a per diem basis. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for preparing medications under the direction of a pharmacist, measuring, mixing, counting, labeling, and recording amounts and dosages of medications according to prescription orders. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare medications under the direction of a pharmacist
  • Measure, mix, count, label, and record amounts and dosages of medications
  • Verify accuracy of medication orders and labels
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace
  • Collaborate with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Current Pharmacy Technician certification required
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
