Quality Coordinator Job Description

At Viaflex, we are seeking a highly skilled Quality Coordinator to join our team. As a Quality Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide frontline leadership and support quality functions in the production environment.
  • Maintain the flow of work within the QA Lab and understand and perform quality functions.
  • Assist in instructing and training staff on the use of inspection and testing devices, methods, techniques, and procedures.
  • Work with teams to identify quality issues and solutions, and develop internal auditing tools and conduct internal audits and reports.
  • Act as a liaison between QA and other departments and team members relating to production needs, and maintain the calibration system for QA equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain quality management documentation, product certifications, and warranty documentation, and maintain KPI's for the quality team.
  • Create, maintain, and update control plans, and may lead or contribute to QA and production improvement initiatives.
  • Provide direction on quality issues, and keep appropriate staff informed of any issues or concerns while maintaining non-conforming product/process.
  • Lead or coordinate investigations regarding quality discrepancies, and monitor results of corrective actions (NCR's, CAPA's).
  • Coordinate efforts to ensure proper safety and ergonomics standards and guidelines are met in the work area, and demonstrate Viaflex Team Member Values in daily actions.
  • May be called upon to perform comparable duties of a similar or related nature, and assist in other areas as needed.
  • Learn, understand, continuously improve, and promote the company's quality management system in accordance with ISO standards.
  • Develop, formulate, and direct quality control programs involving inspection methods, devices, and control techniques, and monitor and initiate improvement projects to current processes or policies.
  • Keep informed of new developments, methods, and techniques in the quality profession, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Create and provide Product Certifications and Warranty documentation to customers.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of quality control practices.
  • Ability to coach, mentor, and empower team members to succeed.
  • High level of patience and service.
  • Ability to motivate team members.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to identify waste and creatively look for solutions.
  • Ability to be flexible and multitask.
  • Proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership staff.
