Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty Pool Instructor to teach college-level Physics courses to transfer and vocational students. The successful candidate will contribute to the department's efforts to improve student retention and success.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Physics courses in a variety of settings, including learning communities, online, and in other non-traditional learning environments.
  • Develop and modify curriculum to meet the needs of diverse student populations.
  • Work effectively with colleagues, staff, students, administrators, and others from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
  • Provide excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with individuals at all levels.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Physics or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching Physics to college-level and/or adult students.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office programs, learning management systems, and other instructional technology.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Imparting enthusiasm and excitement into teaching Physics.
  • Demonstrating a sound knowledge of Physics in a wide range of levels.
  • Experience with or willingness to gain experience with teaching and developing coursework online.
  • Fostering a climate of equity and belonging through multicultural awareness and responsiveness.
Working Conditions

The College is currently in mixed operations, with the option for some assignments to be completed in an online environment. Faculty will need to provide their own workspace and internet access for remote instruction. For on-campus instruction, work is usually performed in a classroom/office space that requires standing and/or sitting for extended periods of time.
