Job Summary

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and organized Specimen Processing Specialist to join our team at Fulgent Genetics. As a key member of our Specimen Processing Department, you will be responsible for verifying patient demographics, physician data, and test requests, as well as accurately entering patient information into our laboratory information system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient demographics, physician data, and test requests for accuracy and completeness
  • Identify and resolve issues with specimen types, missing information, and other discrepancies
  • Enter patient information into our laboratory information system with high accuracy and speed
  • Develop a strong understanding of our laboratory processes and procedures
Requirements
  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • One or more years of laboratory and/or data entry experience
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Typing speed of at least 45 words per minute with high accuracy
