Job Summary

As a key member of our heavy civil construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of roadway projects, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications, and leading a team of skilled professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Manage all aspects of roadway work, including understanding project plans and specifications, standard grading operations, pond excavations, subgrade preparations, stabilization, curb pads, layout and controls, Limerock placement, soil cement placement, and MOT basic operations.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead a team of skilled professionals, including subcontractors, and ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate effectively with field engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Identify and resolve problems promptly, and make informed decisions that align with company goals and objectives.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, and that all necessary documentation is completed and submitted in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5+ years' experience in heavy civil construction, with a background in earthwork, underground, concrete, and asphalt paving.
  • Education and Certifications: High school diploma or equivalent, with a valid driver's license and OSHA certification.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to read, understand, and interpret contract documents, including drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Outlook, Excel, and common scheduling programs, with the ability to perform complete and accurate project take-offs.
