Position Overview

In this role, you will collaborate with the Lead Teacher to implement engaging lessons aligned with the Creative Curriculum and Pennsylvania Early Learning Standards. Your contributions will be vital in maintaining high educational and health standards while supporting the evaluation of student growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in executing approved curriculum-based lesson plans under the guidance of the Lead Teacher.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, remaining attentive to their individual and collective needs.
  • Exhibit a professional and positive demeanor in interactions with children, parents, colleagues, and administrators.
  • Guide children in utilizing constructive alternatives to challenging behaviors, employing techniques such as FLIP IT and Second Step.
  • Conduct ongoing observations of children throughout the year, documenting findings through various methods.
  • Evaluate children's progress, routines, and interests, maintaining open communication with parents.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED is required; CDA certification is preferred.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in early childhood education (2,500 verified hours).
  • Strong communication skills for effective engagement with parents and guardians.
  • Ability to uphold confidentiality regarding center, staff, and family matters.
  • Familiarity with DHS licensing, Keystone Stars, and accreditation standards.
  • Skilled in managing a diverse classroom environment.
