The Westin Cleveland is a 484-room hotel located in the heart of downtown Cleveland, offering stunning views and exceptional service.

Our hotel features refined spaces highlighting dynamic works from local artists, adding a touch of class and sophistication to our lobby.

We are seeking a Restaurant General Manager to join our team, responsible for planning and managing our team of employees and executing service standards to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service.

Responsibilities
  1. Direct day-to-day operations for the restaurant, room service, beverage, and purchasing operations.
  2. Support culinary and partner with our Executive Chef on team integration.
  3. Respond to customer trends, needs, issues, comments, and problems to ensure a quality experience and enhance future sales prospects.
  4. Market the Food and Beverage outlets; develop and manage the implementation of menus, package deals, promotions, displays, decorations, and presentations within corporate guidelines.
  5. Develop, implement, and manage the department's business/marketing plan and budget; continually analyze, forecast, monitor, and control labor and food costs.
  6. Manage the maintenance/sanitation of the Food and Beverage areas and equipment in the hotel to protect assets, comply with regulations, and ensure quality service.
  7. Implement and manage all company programs to ensure compliance with SOPs and LSOPs; to include safety and sanitary regulations, all federal, state, franchise, and local regulations.
  8. Execute and promote the Accident Prevention Program to minimize liabilities and related expenses.
  9. Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication, and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  10. Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • 3+ years of employment in a related position with this company or other organization(s).
  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Requires advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
