About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our 2nd shift maintenance operations in a fast-paced foundry environment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and guiding a team of maintenance personnel in installing, troubleshooting, and repairing facility equipment while adhering to safety protocols and efficient maintenance systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise Maintenance Team: Oversee the daily tasks of the maintenance team, ensuring that all electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, and facility repairs are completed in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Uphold Safety Protocols: Ensure that the safety program within the maintenance department is upheld, and that all employees adhere to company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Encourage collaboration among maintenance personnel, promoting teamwork and collective effort to achieve common goals.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Ensure that equipment maintenance aligns with environmental requirements and that all necessary repairs are completed to maintain maximum equipment uptime.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Contribute to the development and upkeep of a Preventative Maintenance and Part Inventory program to ensure that all equipment is properly maintained and that parts are readily available when needed.
  • Equipment Performance Evaluation: Evaluate equipment performance and identify vital repairs to improve machine uptime.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma required; some college and/or additional training/certificates preferred.
  • Experience: Relevant years of proven experience in a foundry environment commensurate with the level of this position.
  • Supervisory Experience: Supervisory experience in a maintenance environment with mechanical and electrical understanding.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to read equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service; ability to read equipment blueprints.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to spend majority of the day on the floor walking/standing.
  • Availability: Available to work weekends to support production, work on projects or PM's.
  • Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now and in the future.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Foundry Experience: 5+ years of proven experience in a green sand iron foundry; experience with DISA Vertical molding, Inductotherm induction furnaces, and Isocure core a strong plus.
  • Supervisory Experience: 3+ years' supervisor experience in a maintenance environment.
  • Technical Skills: Understanding of PLC controls (ability to program a plus but not required); experience in working with a multitude of contractors for various projects and tracking project timelines.
  • Lean Principles: Knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance programs to ensure maximum equipment uptime; understanding of lean principles including Poke Yoke, Kaizen, and root cause analysis.
  • CMMS Experience: Prior experience installing new CMMS system.
