Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Yoh's Occupational Health client located in Countryside, IL.
Job Summary:The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in an ambulatory care setting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Interview patients to determine medical problems/conditions and document in charts for physicians.
- Obtain and record patients' vital signs and weight.
- Assist physicians with patient examinations as needed.
- Review physicians' orders, lab requests, or follow-up needs with patients.
- Document services performed on appropriate forms.
- Dress wounds as instructed and apply compresses, ice, and heat packs.
- Observe patients and report adverse reactions to medication or treatment to medical personnel in charge.
- Administer specified medication, orally or by subcutaneous or intermuscular injection, and note time and amount on patients' charts.
- Assemble and use clinic equipment.
- Collect samples, such as urine, blood, and sputum, from patients for testing and perform routine laboratory tests on samples.
- Sterilize equipment and supplies.
- Clean rooms and change linens.
- Maintain supplies, including stocking and ordering new supplies and disposing of expired or damaged supplies.
- Respond to patient or client telephone inquiries by evaluating and responding to patients'/clients' problems and questions.
- Follow up with patients who miss appointments.
- Follow up with patients on lab results, including scheduling any additional tests.
- Coordinate referrals for patients through insurance and other physician offices.
- Graduate of National League for Nursing accredited program, Associate's degree (A.S.) and/or equivalent from two-year college or technical school.
- Licensed as a Practical or Vocational Nurse.
- Current hands-on BLS.
- 3+ years of clinical experience as a LPN/LVN in an ambulatory care, occupational health, or emergency department setting.
