Responsibilities
- Safely operate various vehicles, including 21' box trucks, 16' flatbeds, and pickups.
- Assist with loading and unloading merchandise, ensuring secure distribution within the vehicle and adherence to proper material handling practices (forklift operation, lift-gate operation, pallet jack usage – training provided if needed).
- Adhere to assigned delivery schedules, delivering goods promptly and efficiently via the most cost-effective routes.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the warehouse manager/supervisor.
- Warehouse responsibilities include stocking materials, preparing large orders (potentially requiring forklift operation), maintaining a clean work environment, and assisting with counter sales.
- Report accidents promptly according to company policy. Conduct daily vehicle inspections and complete required paperwork.
- Communicate any operating issues or maintenance needs regarding vehicles immediately.
- Keep the warehouse manager/supervisor informed about shortages, overloads, damaged merchandise, and customer complaints.
Qualifications
- Must be 18+ years old to work in the warehouse or drive a pickup truck; must be 21+ years old to operate a box truck or flatbed due to insurance requirements.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
