ROLE PURPOSE:
As a vital member of the CAPTA Home Visitation Program, the CAPTA Parent Educator will deliver Safe Care Education and guidance to families. This role emphasizes the integration of family engagement strategies into our services, fostering family well-being and promoting healthy child development.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: The key duties include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting regular home visits in accordance with Safe Care model standards and fulfilling the required home visit completion rate each month.
- Demonstrating and encouraging effective parent-child interactions through educational activities that strengthen bonding and enhance parenting skills.
- Connecting families with community resources and services.
- Collaborating with various community partners, including healthcare providers, treatment facilities, and child welfare agencies.
- Arranging or providing transportation for clients as necessary.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND / EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of a High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required, along with two years of direct experience in service delivery to families and children. An Associate degree in a human services field is preferred.
