About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Store Associate to join our team at Sherwin-Williams. As a Store Associate, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional customer service, driving sales growth, and maintaining a high level of store appearance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone, determining their needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build productive relationships with wholesale and retail customers, understanding their needs and preferences.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and consistently, adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Meet and exceed sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis, driving sales growth and revenue.
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Tint and mix products as needed, to customer specifications, maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays, maintaining a visually appealing store environment.
  • Clean store equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring safe and efficient operations.
  • Assist in making deliveries as needed, providing excellent customer service.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable condition assigned areas, ensuring a high level of store appearance.
  • Remain knowledgeable on products offered, discussing available options and features.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient operations.
  • Suggest ways to improve sales, driving growth and revenue.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.
  • Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Have at least a High School diploma or GED.
  • Have at least one (1) year experience working in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
  • Have previous work experience selling paint and paint-related products.
  • Have previous work experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
