The Kiddie University Capitol Hill is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Childcare Support Specialist to join our team of dedicated educators. As a key member of our childcare team, you will play a critical role in supporting the educational and emotional needs of our young learners.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing engaging lesson plans and activities that promote learning and development.\
  • Assist with the supervision of children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.\
  • Help maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, including cleaning up after activities and meals.\
  • Communicate effectively with parents and staff members to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.\
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in early childhood education.\

Requirements:

  • \
  • A minimum of two years' experience working with children, preferably in a daycare or preschool setting.\
  • A Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or an Associate degree (or higher) in any subject area; OR completion of at least 60 credit hours in any subject area; OR a state-awarded certificate comparable to a CDA approved by the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE); OR a High school diploma or equivalent provided the individual earns a CDA within two years of their initial date of hire as an assistant teacher at a child development center.\
  • CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.\

Salary and Benefits:
