Job Summary

Rapides Regional Medical Center is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technician PRN to join our Diagnostic Imaging team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing high-quality ultrasound procedures and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, including vascular and diagnostic imaging
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and answering questions
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and quality assurance standards
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and best practices
Requirements
  • High School Graduate / GED
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support, or CPR for Healthcare Providers must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT)
