Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our financial transactions, as well as analyzing and reviewing financial statements and variances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Close Process
    • Support and participate in the monthly general ledger close process, ensuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
    • Analyze and review financial statements and variances, consulting and liaising with managers and functional leads as needed.
  • Account Reconciliations
    • Prepare, review, and analyze account reconciliations on a monthly or quarterly basis with proper supporting documentation.
    • Ensure compliance with external and bank reporting requirements.
  • Financial Analysis
    • Prepare monthly analysis of current actual results for use in internal and external reporting.
    • Assist in the accounting, analysis, and budgeting of various accounts.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration
    • Interact with management, departmental heads, external auditors, and business consultants as required to accomplish goals.
  • Special Projects
    • Assist, as needed, in the completion of special projects.

Requirements

  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
  • Experience
    • 3-5 years of related accounting reconciliation experience and/or finance experience.
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Demonstrated technical knowledge and understanding of Accounting theory, principles, practices, and regulations, including FASB/GAAP and SOX compliance.
    • Expert-level user of MS Office Excel and/or Google Sheets.
    • Understands requirements for documentation in work papers, disclosures, and memos; demonstrated ability to document a broad range of technical issues.
    • Demonstrated successful use of technology to improve process efficiency.
    • Effective team building and leadership skills.
    • Demonstrated project management skills.
    • Commitment to highest standards of quality and integrity.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA or MBA with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
  • Public accounting experience or experience with financial reporting in a manufacturing business.

Work Environment

The Senior Financial Analyst position is located in the Global Headquarters in Michigan City, IN and reports to our Assistant Corporate Controller. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
