Position Overview:
As a Senior Airframe and Powerplant Technician, you will be responsible for executing a range of aircraft modifications and maintenance tasks. This includes the removal and installation of airframes, landing gear, engine components, electrical systems, and control mechanisms to ensure compliance with established procedures and performance specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct periodic maintenance and servicing of all aircraft mechanical systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
  2. Provide guidance and oversight to assigned technicians, promoting high-quality work through effective instruction and example.
  3. Act in the capacity of Mechanical Team Lead in their absence, fulfilling all associated duties and responsibilities.
  4. Collaborate with the Inspection department to guarantee compliance with internal and FAA inspection protocols and documentation requirements.
  5. Accurately complete work order sign-offs and other documentation in a timely manner.
  6. Ensure that all work performed meets established quality standards and specifications.
  7. Properly identify and secure customer property and equipment, maintaining a safe storage environment.
  8. Follow standard operating procedures when utilizing ground support equipment, including power supplies and hydraulic rigs.
  9. Supervise the use of specialized support equipment during the removal and installation of major components.
  10. Coordinate aircraft movements as necessary.
  11. Assist in training new employees on the computerized maintenance program and relevant maintenance manuals.
  12. Work with other departments to arrange for the repair or overhaul of customer property as needed.

Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Utilize the material tracking system to create parts demand and charge labor to appropriate work orders.
  2. Implement 6S and Lean initiatives to maintain clean and organized work areas.
  3. Ensure proper disposal of waste materials, including fuel and hydraulic fluids.
  4. Apply Lean and continuous improvement processes across all responsibilities.
  5. Maintain and return company-provided tools and equipment to designated storage areas after use.
  6. Participate in flight tests on aircraft as required to support certification and final phase testing.
  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of inspection and maintenance procedures for various aircraft models and systems is essential. Familiarity with technical reference materials, including maintenance manuals and engineering drawings, is required. A thorough understanding of FAA regulations and company policies is necessary. Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding the English language is mandatory.
