Position Overview
The Clinical Medical Physics Associate provides essential support to Medical Physicists within the Radiation Oncology Department. Responsibilities include performing quality assurance assessments on linear accelerators, brachytherapy devices, and various imaging systems utilized in Radiation Oncology. The work is conducted under the guidance of a certified medical physicist, ensuring adherence to the highest standards of safety and quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Engages with colleagues, visitors, and staff in alignment with the core values of the organization.
- Conducts clinical quality assurance (QA) evaluations under the supervision of a qualified medical physicist, including patient-specific QA assessments.
- Maintains and operates standard dosimetry instruments such as ionization chambers and water tanks, under the direction of the medical physicist.
- Assists in brachytherapy procedures under the oversight of a medical physicist.
- Contributes to the enhancement of the existing quality control program and supports clinical physics activities through data collection and investigative research.
- Utilizes knowledge of radiation safety protocols to assist medical professionals during brachytherapy seed implant procedures.
- Available to work evenings, nights, and occasionally weekends as required.

- Technical undergraduate degree is essential. Specific knowledge and skills are not required as this is an entry-level role.
