About the Role

This is a 12-hour night shift position, working from 6 PM to 6 AM, with a rotating schedule of Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and then Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. As a Maintenance Technician at ALPLA, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of proprietary equipment, including Extrusion Blow Molding machines, Stretch Blow Molding machines, Injection Molding machines, packaging systems, and automated palletizers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform equipment installation and preventative maintenance tasks, including setting up and configuring proprietary equipment, conducting regular preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal functionality and prolong equipment lifespan, and performing minor modifications and adjustments to machinery as needed.
  • Utilize predictive maintenance methodologies, such as condition monitoring and diagnostic tools, to identify potential issues before they lead to downtime or production disruptions.
  • Diagnose technical problems and malfunctions in molding machines using a systematic approach to identify root causes accurately, collaborate with technical experts to address complex issues effectively and efficiently, and execute repairs on molding machines to restore equipment functionality promptly.
  • Contribute to general facility maintenance tasks beyond equipment-specific responsibilities, assist in maintaining a safe and organized working environment by addressing facility-related issues and supporting maintenance efforts in shared spaces, and collaborate with the facilities team to ensure a well-maintained and conducive production environment for seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Performing a basic-skilled level of maintenance activities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
  • Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-year technical degree or equivalent experience at ALPLA or similar industry.
