We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to serve as an Associate at the Thayer Memorial Library, a central hub for community engagement. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment under the direction of the Library Director.

As a Library Services Associate, you will actively interact with patrons, enhancing their experience within the Library. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing coverage at the circulation desk
  • Offering reference assistance
  • Facilitating the use of Library resources
  • Contributing to technical services tasks
  • Supporting various programming initiatives

These activities are crucial to maintaining the Library's integral role in the community.

Qualifications for this position include a High School diploma or equivalent, along with a minimum of one year of general library experience, or a combination of education, training, and experience that demonstrates the necessary skills.

The compensation for this position is competitive, starting at $18.43 per hour.

The standard work schedule is designed to not exceed 19 hours per week, with specific hours determined by the Library Director or Assistant Director to meet the operational needs of the Library.
