As a Production Engineering Specialist, you will have the chance to significantly influence our operations by:
- Prioritizing Safety: Upholding safety as the paramount value by engaging in training, process enhancements, and fulfilling environmental, health, and safety duties.
- Standardizing Processes: Documenting and implementing standard operating procedures for effective training and execution.
- Optimizing Production Methods: Developing and applying production and processing techniques to achieve quality benchmarks efficiently.
- Resolving Production Issues: Offering support to manufacturing teams to address daily production and quality challenges.
- Collaborating with Maintenance: Working alongside maintenance personnel to conduct root cause analyses and establish corrective measures.
- Enhancing Maintenance Practices: Reviewing preventive maintenance strategies and suggesting improvements in line with Reliability Engineering standards.
- Conducting Inspections: Performing technical evaluations of intricate machinery.
- Implementing Improvements: Recommending and executing enhancements in operational sequences, equipment usage, and related processes.
- Evaluating Design Changes: Assessing and approving modifications to designs, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Project Management: Partnering with the Manufacturing Engineering Manager to strategize and implement projects aligned with the Identifications Enterprise Lean Sigma initiative.
- Managing Special Projects: Overseeing unique projects that may involve supplier relations, production performance metrics, sustainability efforts, and other ad hoc initiatives.
- Scheduling Projects: Establishing project timelines by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and troubleshooting issues.
- Equipment Validation: Defining requirements for the validation of new equipment.
- Preparing Equipment: Ready new machinery and production tools for operational use.
- Optimizing Labor and Material Flow: Enhancing direct and indirect manufacturing labor and in-plant material flow through industrial engineering techniques, including man-machine analysis, line balancing, time studies, and value stream mapping.
- Designing Layouts: Planning and designing equipment layouts for optimal efficiency.
- Change Management: Ensuring compliance and improvement of Management of Change and Change Management systems.
