Job Summary:

Sentara Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team. As an Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer occupational therapy treatments and procedures under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, and document the progress of treatment within the scope of treatment plans established by a licensed Occupational Therapist.
  • Provide age-appropriate education for clients and caregivers, promoting independence and self-advocacy.
  • Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members, ensuring seamless delivery of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Education: An Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution is required.
  • License/Certification: Current licensure in the state and National Board Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (NBCOT) are mandatory.
