The primary role of the Facility Maintenance Associate is to execute cleaning and maintenance tasks as directed by the Facilities Maintenance Manager. This includes ensuring that the premises are free from waste and debris. Furthermore, the associate is responsible for performing housekeeping tasks to maintain a neat and orderly environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties: (Additional responsibilities may be assigned)

  • 50% Conduct general waste and cardboard collection.
  • 10% Uphold cleanliness and organization of the Aurora facility.
  • 15% Operate floor cleaning machinery and handle light equipment and materials.
  • 10% Empty waste receptacles.
  • 10% Maintain dust collection systems in the Woodshop and dispose of Woodshop waste.
  • 5% Refill water supplies as needed.
Supervisory Duties:

This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Special Requirements:

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced and dynamic environment while meeting deadlines.
Equipment Utilized:
  • Hand tools, Forklift, Pallet jack, and Floor Cleaner.
  • Safety Equipment: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Gloves, Respirator, and Mask.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
  • Capability to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, reach, push, pull, lift, and perform repetitive motions.
  • High level of mental and visual attention required for planning and executing complex tasks.
  • Ability to exert force exceeding 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
Environmental Conditions:

The worker may be exposed to both indoor and outdoor environmental conditions, including temperature fluctuations, noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, dust, waste, and moving mechanical parts.
