Job Description:

The Fabrication Technician is tasked with acquiring comprehensive training in all facets of the production environment. This includes responsibilities such as cutting, grooving, hole cutting, assembly, cataloging, and utilizing the shop floor platform knowledge (Mendix) under the mentorship of a certified trainer. Collaborating closely with the team lead, the Technician must ensure adherence to all policies and procedures, with responsibilities subject to modification based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a secure working environment
  • Maintain punctuality and attendance
  • Execute daily production operations
  • Uphold Victaulic's quality benchmarks
  • Comply with project timelines and manage materials effectively
  • Skillfully operate fabrication cell machinery
  • Complete daily checklists and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks
  • Exhibit proficiency in machinery operation
  • Implement 5S methodologies
  • Follow all established policies and procedures
  • Perform additional assigned duties as necessary

Weekly Duties:

  • Monitor daily operational performance
  • Ensure all TPM tasks and checklists are completed
  • Address project-related issues in a timely manner
  • Meet established performance goals

Monthly Duties:

  • Oversee the completion of TPM tasks
  • Collaborate with the Fabrication lead on FEM initiatives
  • Achieve certification in at least one 5S FEM discipline
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3 years of technical experience
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematic drawings, and technical manuals
  • Previous experience operating forklifts
  • Forklift certification required for specific equipment (can be obtained post-employment)
  • Familiarity with forklift-mounted computers and barcode scanners (training will be provided as necessary)
  • Capability to lift objects weighing up to 45 pounds
