Job Details

We are seeking a Recreation Aide to join our team at the Village of Pinecrest, FL.

About the Position:

  • This is a part-time position that requires working variable shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for performing general maintenance and clean-up duties, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • You will also be required to greet visitors in a friendly and sincere manner, assist the general public with information regarding Community Center programs and events, and perform concession and cashier duties.
  • Additionally, you will be responsible for operating recreation software to perform membership, class, and program registration, and assisting with the coordination of recreational activities and programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform general maintenance and clean-up duties, including emptying trash, sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
  • Greet visitors in a friendly and sincere manner and assist the general public with information regarding Community Center programs and events.
  • Perform concession and cashier duties, including sale of retail products and processing cash and credit card transactions.
  • Operate recreation software to perform membership, class, and program registration, and assist with the coordination of recreational activities and programs.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or GED certificate is required.
  • The ideal candidate will have specialized training or experience as a camp instructor, teacher, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • You must possess excellent customer service skills, be able to establish good customer relations, and deal with people effectively, courteously, and enthusiastically.
  • You should have knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment typically used in recreational work and clean-up duties.
  • A valid driver's license is required, and you must be able to maintain a high level of organization, prioritize duties, and meet department goals and deadlines.

Salary:

The estimated salary for this position is $19,194.24 - $29,739.84 annually, based on location and industry standards.
