Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse

We're seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team as a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Travel Nurse. As a PCU Travel Nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care to individuals who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but are not unstable enough to need Intensive Care Unit (ICU) care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide basic bedside care and stabilize critical cardiac patients.
- Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs as needed.
- Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
- Monitor and adjust specialized equipment used on patients, and interpret and record electronic displays.
- Initiate corrective action whenever information from monitoring equipment shows adverse symptomatology.
Requirements:
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- 2 years of recent acute care experience
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of 20 pounds
Personal Qualities:
- Good stress management skills
- Ability to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds
