We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our Radiology Department at Next Move Healthcare. In this role, you will perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures, ensuring the safety and comfort of patients while delivering accurate and timely diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities- Perform high-quality nuclear medicine procedures in accordance with exam protocols, ensuring compliance with system and regulatory standards.
- Communicate effectively with patients using AIDET principles to ensure correct exams and establish rapport.
- Prepare patients and the procedure area, including positioning patients, adjusting equipment, and setting exposure factors.
- Adhere to safety requirements, infection control, and radiation protocols to protect patients and staff.
- Maintain cleanliness and operational readiness of imaging equipment, collaborating with engineers and physicists for optimal performance.
- Accurately document patient information, procedure details, and maintain medical imaging records according to department policies.
- Provide first aid and emergency care when necessary, ensuring customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and providing courteous service.
- Serve as a preceptor, providing training and guidance to new team members on procedures and initiatives.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
- Proficiency in performing nuclear medicine procedures independently and efficiently.
- Strong communication skills to explain procedures and ease patient concerns.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Commitment to continuous learning and maintaining current knowledge in nuclear medicine techniques.
- Ability to work independently while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Nuclear Medicine (ARRT-N) or by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (CNMT).
- Ability to serve as a preceptor and provide quality training to new team members.
- Ability to take call, if required.
