Position Overview

We are seeking a proficient Staff Accountant to become a vital part of our Finance team. This role will report directly to the Controller and will support various functions within the Finance department. The accountant will handle a diverse range of analytical and specialized accounting tasks, including maintaining records and systems, generating financial reports for different stakeholders, and assisting with accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and cost accounting. The ideal candidate should be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively. This position is integral to our finance strategy, offering growth opportunities and enhancing efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute general accounting tasks, encompassing accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile financial transactions.
  • Conduct financial analyses and offer recommendations to enhance financial performance.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards and regulations.
  • Investigate and resolve account discrepancies.
  • Oversee the fixed asset management system.
  • Assist with property tax and sales tax submissions.
  • Prepare and disseminate monthly, weekly, and daily financial reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial statements and assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end activities.
  • Compile account reconciliations, variance analyses, and various accrual calculations.
  • Support internal and external audit processes.
  • Conduct regular audits to identify and rectify discrepancies.
  • Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) in accounting, finance, or business administration, along with 2+ years of relevant experience.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Effective communication of financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills and a detail-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
  • Commitment to following all safety policies and procedures.
